THREE MORE THINGS TO KNOW...
1.
She’s been busy making change happen for a while. Before graduate school at Harvard, Magda served as a Spanish language interpreter and patient advocate, women’s reproductive rights counselor, Physician Assistant in migrant and community health centers, and pediatric PA hospital resident. Then she turned 26. The last 30+ years have been even busier.
2.
She gets great things done from start-to-launch, then into sustainable orbit. She knows how to start-up institutions that last, in both practice and academe, dedicated to healthier, more just communities. She is Founder, former CEO, and ongoing Senior Advisor of CityMatCH, the national organization dedicated to advancing leadership, innovation and health equity for women, children and families in America’s cities. She co-founded Nebraska’s Public Health Leadership Institute and first MPH Program, and co-created two nationally accredited schools of public health at the Universities of Nebraska and Wisconsin.
3.
She once played the accordion. Yes, really. And the violin.
